By doing this, it wont offend anyone as some parodies would do, and will do what it would be intended to do, which was to make people laugh with the humor in the video. This makes the people watching be entertained with all the humorous content in the music video.
REFERENCING
Referencing music videos is when a music video contains explicit content from other actual media text, for example if there are props/sets/clips or actors from a film or TV show. They show that they are in the set that was in the film throughout the video, it begins at 0:03 and scenes throughout from the movie at 0:07 and then more scenes are played throughout the rest of the video about every 5 second. They do this because it helps promote what they are referencing. For example how with this video. "Paramore" are promoting the film "Twilight" and this helps promote both "Paramore" and "Twilight" as people who like "Paramore" will know about "Twilight" and people who like "Twilight" will know about "Paramore" and it helps expand the audience for both the film and the person referencing it.
