ANALYSING MY SONG

Section 1 - Target Audience (AGILE)

This song is mostly aimed at people from the ages of 14 - 25 since that is an age, that the thought of being famous, would be related to people at that age, and usually people at that age would think about  simply being famous, which relates to the song, so this song could relate to a lot of people around that age group. The gender is focused on both male and female, as the thought of being famous can come across the minds of both genders, the song also does not make it clear that they are focusing on a specific gender, People who would be interested in fame and rock/pop music, would most likely listen to this song because, if they have their interests in the song, they can relate to it more. Hollywood Boulevard is related to this song, as it is mentioned three times in the song, so people who live in Hollywood Boulevard would listen to this song. The song does not focus on any ethnicity, so people that are listening to the song will feel left out.

Section 2 - Analyzing Lyrics

Throughout the song, as you focus on the lyrics, you start to realize that there is someone directly talking to you, in the singing fashion, teaching you a lesson that it is not that trying to be famous is not that simple. We get to realize that someone is directly talking to you on the first line when it says, "What the hell did you think would happen?, when you moved out west and used that pen", it is obvious that someone is talking to you, and throughout the rest of the song, the person directly talking to you, starts saying the chorus, which makes it clear what he is saying; "Its not that hard, to have your name on Hollywood Boulevard. That's what you tell yourself, cause that's what you want to hear", which explains what the person is talking about. When it gets to the part when he mentions the father, when he said "you made your father cry" he brings that up to make it more personal, bringing up family members, because in the song he says you left him to become famous, then he says "well lets be honest you don't care about that guy" meaning that it doesn't effect you that your father is upset, yet it might at the same time, this could possibly relate to the audience, as they might be in a similar situation.

Section 3 - Analyzing music

The music itself is a mix of melody and loudness which is meant to make people dance, it has a very fast paced which is intentionally made to add more energy, and to get the audience that is listening more engaged into the song, the song has a very energetic sound to it, so giving more energy the the audience, will get them more energetic and will make them want to listen to the whole song. The song is song is about dreaming about being famous, by just being who you are, but not realizing that is is not that simple to be famous, and have to go through the consequences of being judged by others. When listening to the song, after the chorus is played for the second time, you hear a wide range of noises happening at the same time, slowly, as there is a very calm tone in the background, all these sounds happening at the same time seems like an orchestra, and makes the listener seem like a conductor, which makes the song fun to listen to.

Section 4 - Analyzing Tempo

In this song it starts of with a slow melodic tempo, intentionally to make the listeners relaxed straight away, when listening to the song because by giving a slow relaxed feeling straight away, the listeners will want to hear the rest of the song. Later on the temp builds up, as it has the singers voice in a fast pace, but with a slow melodic pace with the instrumental and background voices, such as when the line "and objectify what you've created!" appears, by doing this it still has the calm tone that the tempo makes, but at the same time, by having the faster paced tempo of the singing, it will make the audience who are listening more interested in the song, and want to hear the rest. As the song goes on both the tempo of the vocals and the instrumental match together, as they are both in a fast pace. When having the whole song being fast paced, it makes the audience more engaged, because by having a fast paced song will add more energy. and will get the audience to want to listen to more. When getting close to the end of the song, the tempo gets more calm and relaxing, to calm down the listeners from all the energy, then finally comes to a finish.

Section 5 - How you would visually communicate this in a video

In my music video I will try to not focus on any specific type of gender or ethnicity so no no one will feel left out when listening, and I will target people who are interested in fame, by having it set in London since that is a famous area, so it relates to the song and the audiences interests. Because the song has someone directly speaking to you in a singing fashion, in my video I will have someone directly singing to the camera, so that it looks like the artist is directly singing to the audience watching, by doing this,it will make it seem, while watching, that the artist is directly singing to you. With all the energy in the song, I will be wearing a costume, to make the artist seem a bit more crazy, which will add a lot of energy to the video. Since the song is about dreaming about being famous, I am planning to set the music video, in London and near a lot of famous attractions, since they are famous areas, it will relate to the song. At the beginning of the music video, it will show the artist strolling through the park, as the song starts of with a very melodic tempo, and then I will show the artists face, then the music will get more energetic, There will be a lot of cuts in the music video, to add more energy, also the artist will be moving very fast, to show that he is very hyper when singing the song. When it comes to the calm parts of the song, the video will be set in a park, because that is a very calm area, and when it goes to the energetic part of the song, the video will be set in the city, because that is a very loud/energetic area.

Claw Hammer Ski Pants Snowboard Trousers Salopettes Skiing Snowboarding Snow

Halloween Cat Woman Gloves Black Furry and Attached Claws Ladies Fancy DressImage result for shoesImage result for L wig

The artist in my music video will be wearing clothes that you wouldn't really expect a normal person to wear. The reason why I chose these certain types of clothes is that it will make my artist stand out, and be unique in their own way, just like how the artist that makes the song im using wears his clothes.

Samples of typography you would use for their logo:

The typography that I would use for my logo would be a font with huge letters in a certain style, so that it stands out from others, just like the artist in my video.

Samples of Mise-En-Scene you would use in their video:

The props I would use for the music video, would be props that would be related to the song, such as a pen and paper associate with the lyric "sign your name on the dotted line". I am mostly planning to using central London as my setting, as it is a big area with lots of good places to film, there will also be a couple of scenes set in a park, because it will help fit with the relaxing atmosphere.

Samples of colours you would use for your artists identity:

These colours explain that the artist in my video, is a very artistic/dark type of person, by using black and red, it signifies the whole emo atmosphere that the artist that made the song creates. By using purple, it shows that my artist is different and creative and stands out from others. Having green it shows that my artist likes nature, which is why I set parts of the video in a park, and having blue also shows that they are pure just like water, but when you sink down, it gets scary.

Samples of imagery which their song evokes in your mind

The song that I am using is a very cheerful song, that will make you feel happy. The song is about being inspired and dreaming about being famous, it is also about standing out from others, not afraid of being judged. This song will make you feel relaxed, and it has a lot going on, which might make you want to know the meaning. This song is very enjoyable, as you can imagine it being performed live, with people dancing, there is also a part where it makes you feel like a conductor, as many noises play as once.
A photo of the person you would have play your  in the video:

I chose myself to be the the person in the music video, mainly because I am pretty sure that i'm the only one that would wear the clothes required, also I think that I would fit the roll perfectly as I am a very energetic person that could fit the energy in the song.
